The Flower and The Bee
For the “Principles of Design” assignment, we decided to take a picture depicting the element of “focus”. The subject we chose was the flower and the bee. Initially, we had difficulty with placing the focus directly on the bee and the flower. Thus, it made the timing of the shot very important. Overall, the picture exemplifies a mood of calmness and serenity. In addition, the colours are very complementary to each other. In conclusion, we are very satisfied with the outcome. We believe the element we were trying to portray was shown very clearly. In future assignments, we would probably experiment with the camera’s functions beforehand, to prevent any impromptu shots.
