Soggy Sow

This pretty little lady has ( or heaven forbid had ) cubs, the wait to see them is torture, I dream almost every night about badgers but at the moment there are dozens of cubs running around in my brain ! Probably unlikely to see any cubs till mid-May going by previous years though. Although it's hard to read these things into such shy animals I get the impression this lady badger is in the process of usurping Mrs Badger as the main breeding female ( alpha mama ), I'm seeing far less of her and she doesn't look like she has cubs, she's covered in scars too and both her ears are split. I'm sure this is natural and normal as she gets older but she'll always be my favourite badger ever and if that is what is happening it's a bit heartbreaking. I sometimes feel silly about our badgers meaning the whole world to me, nobody else 'round here gets it I don't think, I mean ultimately you're gonna be heartbroken investing emotionally in any animal aren't you.
