Snow Geese #2 - Nikkei Cultural Fair Oct 2009
This series is a presentation unique to Unimari Taiko, created by former member Alisa Kage. It is based on a haiku written by her grandmother about a snow goose that leaves the flock - paralleling her emigration from Japan and leaving her family behind. The piece starts with a recitation of the haiku, and includes singing in Japanese, and wonderful unique choreography, with the drums set up in a triangle, mimicking the flight of geese.
