1971 Triumph TR6 Roadster

Standard Triumph was purchased by Leyland Motors in 1960, which became British Leyland in 1968.

The Triumph TR range of Sports cars were built between 1953 and 1981.

1952 Triumph TR1 (20TS) prototype

1953 TR2; 1991cc 4 cyl, longer body

1955 TR3; more power, new grille.

1957 TR3a; wider grille, exterior door handles.

1962 TR3b; 2138cc 4 cyl.

1961 TR4; Michelotti designed body

1965 TR4A; independent rear suspension (IRS badge on rear) revised grille.

1967 TR5; visually the same, but 150hp 2498cc fuel injected 6 cyl (TR250; 111hp twin carburettor version)

1969 TR6; flat front Kerman design, running gear unchanged.

1975-81 TR7, the new wedge shape Harris Mann design in coupe or roadster, 1998cc 8 valve 4 cyl.

1978-81 TR8 was similar, but with a hump in the bonnet to accept the 3528cc V8
