Pretty Old Fashioned cake for my Mum
This cake is for my Mum's 79th birthday.
Citrus mudcake, coated with white chocolate & citrus zest ganache and covered in fondant.
My first attempt at quilting. Learnt a lot more lessons from this cake!
(1) Don't cover cake with fondant whilst ganache is still cold from the fridge. Fondant just goes sticky and you cannot work with it. I had to peel off my first attempt and redo it.
(2) I need a LOT more practice at piping royal icing!
