Not at all a Rickenbacker, but not bad!
There is so little information about these copy guitars anywhere, I can only assume that their production was quite limited and probably fairly quickly stopped by rickenbacker.
Someone on ebay who had one for sale once said they were built in England in the 1990s, but they almost certainly have Korean/Japanese components and may have actually been built over there anyway. Tanglewood have obviously wiped all trace of their existence from their website etc, if there was ever any anyway!
Probably as important as the looks should be the sound, which is really not bad at all (through a brand new vox 10 watt amp), but it is hard to compare guitar sounds when this is the only electric I have currently.
The sound is probably more like a Stratocaster guitar to most people. However, you can definitely get a jangly tone.
