Towers of Gold
The towers of Barangaroo lighting up in the gold of the Sydney sunset.
Sunset in Sydney last Saturday.
Saturday, 1st August, 2026.
Photographed from across the harbour in a newly discovered 'secret' patch of rainforest at Milsons Point, just off Northcliff Street and near the entrance to the Luna Park underground carpark. I shared this spot beneath the huge Port Jackson figtrees with a battalion of noisy Kookaburras performing their twilight chorus.
Zoom in to see all the city buildings (e.g. the Shangri-La Hotel to the left) as well as the streets and Victorian-era terraces at Millers Point.
And here's John Stewart and Stevie Nicks with 'Gold' from 1979: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVUtpUdY3Uo
My Canon EOS 5D Mk IV with the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM lens.
Processed in Adobe Lightroom.
