House party

It's party night at 'The house' featuring Vivaldi in the Concert Hall with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

 

My mother was First Violinist (First Chair) for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. But later, following her marriage breakup, we left Melbourne and relocated to Sydney. And then she played for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

 

In her final years she would love to attend the so-called 'House Party' concerts, and my sister would take her to see the orchestra play at the Opera House or at the City Recital Hall (Angel Place, Sydney).

 

Today, when we can, my sister and I still go to see the Sydney Symphony Orchestra play the Opera House or the City Recital Hall.

 

So, anyway, this is the view from the wharf at Campbells Cove, 'The Rocks', looking east across the harbour to the party house! The ferry is the 'Supply', a First Fleet class Sydney ferry, on its trek from Milsons Point to Circular Quay.
