Reflection.

A very complex conflict erupted in 1992-1995 between three ethnic groups (Serbs, Croats, and Muslims) that was first centered on whether Bosnia should stay in the Yugoslav Federation, or whether it should become independent. This later caused a genocide committed by Serbs against the Muslim Bosniaks. The main targets of this genocide were men and teenage boys and as a result many women lost their husbands and sons and many also faced rape and violence throughout the war.
