Circa 1941: AUSTRALIA [II] believed to be in British Waters - Photo Mackenzie Gregory Collection.
3901. We're not actually sure where the original of this photo originates, as we have casually picked up from sources not recorded - but it appears on Mac Gregory's Mac's Ahoy website, and illustrated the camouflage matter we're discussing.
We believe it to be HMAS AUSTRALIA [II] in British waters, perhaps early 1941. It can be seen, cropped, on Mac's website, here:
