7103. With the Port Melbourne gasworks fuming behind her stern flight deck overhang, HMAS VENGEANCE is about to turn to port to come alongside Station Pier for her first arrival in Melbourne.
We have had other arrival images of VENGEANCE in Fremantle , Melbourne and Sydney, and stories of the then-neglected ship's preparations for the voyage under the command of then-Captain {later RADM, Sir} Henry Burrell.
