Winchester - King Alfred - 596 LCG - Twin of renown

Sutton Scotney sounds tempting - and Stoke Charity intriguing - but we'd just had a lovely trip out to Oliver's Battery and made re-acquaintance with one of the topmost of quality decker designs.

Watching 596 (and its twin, 595) perform throughout the day brought rich memories of Biddulph, North Western, Walley Street and much much more.
