An eyeful of abstraction -[ HSS ]- >>Explored<<
It has been a while since I last submitted something to the Sliders Sunday group, and even longer since I attempted a little planet, so I ended up going farther on a tangent than I expected to.
This started with experimenting with the Polar Coordinates filter in Photoshop, first with a random photo, then with a Macro Mondays submission built from cube-shaped adult fidget toy magnets. The distorted result left an irregular center that needed filling, so I knocked out the area and filled it from behind with a pareidolia-packed photo composed of spherical magnetic toys.
I sent the composite of the two images through Topaz Studio 2, exporting three altered images I liked as Photoshop layers. I originally planned on using just one of the modified photos, until I started experimenting with PS's layer blending controls, ultimately settling on this result.
