Kick me! -[ SoS ]-

A football (well, here in the States and certain other countries, a soccer ball) I noticed on my way out last Thursday as I was leaving from work for a three-day weekend (Friday closure for the Independence Day holiday falling on a Saturday). Had I noticed it earlier this week, I would have checked to see if I could borrow it to take better shots with the R5.

 

The custom frame was a time-consuming piece of work. It took several tries, including a redesign, to get the alignment just right to make a small piece to use as a foundation for a larger pattern.

 

Having lived in a country where the term “football” generally implies a game involving a prolate spheroid, only kicked under designated circumstances, I appreciate the use of the term within the context of the international game where the foot is the primary means of propelling a round ball towards its goal.
