Five Finger Rapids

These treacherous waters faced any hopeful prospector trying to paddle downriver to Dawson City. Four rocky islands jut up through the Yukon river and tore up many of the makeshift boats that tried to cross.

 

I couldn't decide what was more dramatic--the rapids or the sky--and so I took two pictures!
