The Church
Please understand I mean no offense by this statement. I was raised Christian and despite my poem below I support the religion (though I am no longer affiliated with it). However, I strongly believe it should be a choice and am upset by the way people go about Church these days. It is highly hypocritical and tainted with dishonesty. I have seen many people turn their lives around through conversion to Christianity (or another religion), but I have also seen many people claim to be one with the Church and then turn around and tell lies and commit adultery and manipulate the innocent. The Church has also manipulated the People so that they could stay powerful which I am absolutely disgusted with. (Check almost any history book) So, keeping in mind this is a controversial subject, I apologize if I offend anyone.
"Come little one," The Church says, "The Church welcomes everyone."
Everyone except those who don't agree with them.
"Come little one," The Church says, "We will teach you how to live."
Teach you how serve without question.
"Come little one," The Church says, "We will save you."
Save you from living your life without constant fear and hesitation.
"Come little one," The Church says, "Repent for your sins."
What sins? The sin of knowledge? The sin of pleasure? The sin of pride? Of living? I do not understand.
"You are lost little one," The Church says, "We pity you."
You must be mistaken. We pity you.
