Fragrant Views

By Erik. Heading down the trail scantily visible in the photo, I came upon a black bear, which promptly scurried away. The bear was within 20 yards of me, as I happened upon it coming around a corner of tall bushes. It was the first bear I have ever seen in Oregon and it created quite the excitement. I was stoked, yet we had to be very alert for the next few miles.
