Squirrel Wire Sculpture

This whimsical wire wrapped squirrel is an original design that is hand sculpted by myself, Antonia Hansen. It measures 2x2x4 inches (LxWxH) with a mahogany and white body, bright royal blue eyes and a little black nose.

 

The squirrel is constructed from a handmade free form wire skeleton wrapped with floral wire and painted with enamel paint. The paint is coated with a clear sealant and will not rub off or run when wet. Glass beads are used for the eyes and nose. The structure is solid enough to with stand many falls. It will bend when direct pressure is put on them but will easily go back into place without breaking.
