Invitation
Jim and I made each invitation by hand. We started with recycled white invites from Paper Source. Jim drew the birds from a drawing he found in his sketchbook with a black sharpie and then colored each one with colored pencil.
I dove into my extensive paper collection for the texture. For the sand, I used "Prairie" paper, a textured pastel drawing paper, that is sadly no longer made. The water was represented with a "snakeskin" textured paper, and the heart was made with a Thai kozo paper.
I used decorative edge scissors to create the wave effect and Lineco Neutral pH Adhesive to glue it all together.
