This is the first in a series of three shots of a gang of white pelicans attempting to pilfer a fish from a cormorant. It was shot at too slow a shutter speed, and in the rain, but I thought it was worth posting because it was such dramatic behavior. Because of the rain, I was unable to shoot much of what I was seeing, but this was a scene repeated many times as a group of about 50 cormorants and just as many pelicans descended on schooling fish right in front of me.
