this is the finished self portrait my son painted when he was going through a difficult time in his life drinking heavily his face covered in toothpaste to me photography and art are the same some images hurt you so much and also make you so proud his life has been free of alcahol for two years now but like any alcoholic its one day at a time this year he gained his fine art degree with first class honours
