At first I didn’t understand the phenomenon surrounding the mini series Sherlock. But it did awaken my curiosity, so I went out to get the DVDs. Well, I am a tad later than almost everyone in the world, but let me just say … as of now, I am irrevocably SHER-LOCKED!
This Mixed Media Book Necklace was inspired particularly by the episode called “A Scandal in Belgravia”. This piece combines antique brass findings, faceted glass beads, shell pearls, Petrified Wood beads, Pyrite stones, brass chains, 16/18/20 gauge wires, paper, resin, lace, rawhide, and a handmade miniature book. The cover of the book is leather and the pages within are coffee stained.
** the long necklace is 30 inches in circumference, whilst the choker neckpiece is 15 inches in circumference. Both can be worn separately (see image)
** the book measures approx. 1.5 (W) x 2 (H) x 0.75 (T) inches and has 156 writable pages. Pages are coffee stained.
