Bleeding lancet (Wood)
A single 'pocket' lancet blade was often used to cut a vein to 'bleed' patients in the 19th century. the blood was caught in a 'bleeding bowl.' This lancet has a tortoiseshell handle & was made by Wood of Manchester.
