Day 132- Samhain
Great post-call day! Off just before 8am- home to shower and sleep all day. Got up before Bryan with time to hang out in the afternoon and then head off to a "World healing ceremony" sponsored by the Spiritual Unity Movement and held at the Unitarian church in North Hills that looks like an Onion. Very woo-woo ceremony with opening guided meditation, chanting and Wiccan keynote speaker talking about neo-pagan religions and the significance of the Samhain (Halloween) holiday. Followed by a traditional wiccan ritual which ends with juice and cookies! Very interesting mix of people with most middle-aged. Home in time to have a failed pumpkin carving extravaganza with only kitchen knives and the original 1968 version of Night of the Living Dead.
