George Wilson was a member of Andrews Raiders during the Civil War. He was 1 of 22 men who hijacked a train in Georgia and rode it 200 miles just north of Chattanooga destroying everything confederate. He was 1 of the 8 men captured after this raid and hung by Confederate soldiers. He is buried at the Andrews Raiders Memorial in Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tn.
