Jian - 6 was a type of single-seat twin-engine supersonic light jet fighter produced by China. This type of fighter was best known for being small and agile, with a comparatively high weight to thrust ratio and good mobility. During the 60s and 70s, Jian -6 was the main type of figher used by the PLA Air Force. This fighter has a length of 12.54 metres, a wingspan of 9.04 metres, an operational ceiling of 17,300 metres and a maximum speed of 950 kph. It is armed with three air cannons and could carry air-to-air missiles on its wings. By using Jian-6, the PLA Air Force had shot down many unmanned aerial recon vehicles manufactured by the US.
