Red Mountain Dewd (Ticklin innards since forever)
Passing The Torch
The Gifting
Fire was a gift, they say. A gift both dark and light.
For it may keep us warm or might scar us with it's bite
It can be used to punish, torment us to submission
Or illuminate the darkness... restoring our lost vision
So who, I ask, gifted us with this double-facing beast
Which God or devil... laid this burning offer at our feet
As smoldering puzzle to answer... a fortune or a fate
This enigmatic flame... we eternally both love and hate
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And so it begins... with the passing of the flame from bridge to boat, the torch-bearers embark on their river journey to set fire to water.
