O brother, where art thou? (for Mac users)

i was shocked at how dark the image in the comments below appeared on an iMac, MacBook Pro, and a Dell 2407WFPb monitor. so I cranked the brightness to get this image above to appear the same on as the other version (below) does on my Acer, Toshiba, and HP monitors.
