Compelling installation in the modern wing of Chicago's Art Institute. It moved me a great deal, which is why I snapped the photograph. Unfortunately, I don't recall the artist's name. The artist was exploring the gaps between accepted traditions (marriage) and the excrement absorbed (symbolized by the bags of kitty litter) by our society's tendency to render invisible the voices excluded from many mainstream traditions (gay marriage).
