2. Cutting the log.

Once the log is securely locked in to the track, we set the depth of cut (in this case, 7/8" thick slabs), opened the valve for the lubricant flow, and turned it on. We knew we would be using the sawmill inside our shop, so we chose the model with a 220-V electric motor, rather than a gasoline or diesel model.
