Apple III Plus case
I needed to add a picture of the case of the Apple III Plus. It is a beautiful thing - cast aluminum that's built like a truck, and I tend to imagine that it could survive being run over by one. It makes me think of Steve Jobs, with the shape and lack of a fan - I can picture Jobs insisting that fans were just too noisy for what he had in mind.
The earlier Apple III case had a bad reputation, as it was believed that it failed to remove the heat from the motherboard fast enough, causing problems, but it isn't clear that the problems with the Apple III were because of the case rather than a different element in the design.
