Stage2: Terrorism deaths by category for single year - Darren Russell (n6336019)
Description:
An information visualization that displays terrorism attack data from across four years in a comparitive and aesthetically approached way.
Aesthetic: My intended aesthetic is to be like a Heads Up Display or HUD, much like that on aircraft and such. This choice was made to like the warish theme of terrorism with the data and allow myself to produce a simplistic design.
Motivation:
I want to produce some transparency in the media representation of terrorism caused deaths. I want people to see all of the deaths caused by terrorist acts and make their own conclusions; not what the media portrays.
Intended Audience Response:
When I came across the data and was inspecting it, I realised some interesting points about terrorism. It is this realisation that I want people to feel when they look at my information visualization.
