I especially drove out of my way to catch these locos on their excursion train in Clarkdale AZ, only to arrive on "maintenance day". It didn't run did it!
However, a quick visit to the six-stall "roundhouse" allowed me to introduce myself, and seek permission to get this portrait.
The crewman told me that at time, 2000, there were only 12 FP7s operational in the US- don't know what figure that is now?
