locals in frozen time,,,,1886?
A photo published in the book: Lettres d'Ègypte-Correspondance avec Louise Maspero.
The date beside the photo is 1886, but I doubt it, becuase of the high quality of the photo, I think it should rather date to early 1900s. But anyhow I believe time has frozen for those locals, you can still find the same people with the same costumes today in any village market.,,,even the same donkey!
