Wichita Leaders . . .
This photo appeared in the Wichita Eagle Newspaper and was entitled, "LEADERS BEFORE THE TURN OF THE CENTURY". It states, "Among this group of early day Wichita citizens are many who had a major part in laying the foundation for Wichita as she is today. This old photograph was not dated and some of the men are unknown but those in the picture from left to right are: 1 - M.M. Murdock, founder of the Wichita Eagle; 2 - W.A. Sternberg; 5 - Coy McCormick; 6 - Henry McDonald; 7 - unknown; 8 - Red Sparks; 9 - unknown; 10 - Mr. Hake; 11 - John Bruer; 12 - unknown; 13 - Billy Marks; 14 - Sam Burneau; 15 - Lew Ward; 16 - Bill Tusche; 17 - Chas Ketzler; 18 - Jack Clal; 19 - E.W. William Olin Sternberg worked for many years for the Eagle Newspaper in Wichita being a manager for many years. He and Marshall Murdock knew each other quite well.
