Rust plus

Pigeons . The old Grafton Bridge , a structure near 100 years of age , opened in 1932 . It's been many a year since this old girl has had a lick of paint , and like other steel structures of this age I have uploaded recently , it's shown in its natural state , a bit oxidised , rusty . One has to appreciate such things . Note the pigeons all over the roof of the old control house which originally controlled the lifting , a hinged lift of an 84' long complete section of the bridge , the bascule span , a unique feature of this particular bridge . This function which last operated during the mid 1960s , I do remember such events ... gone are the days , Now its just pigeons and rust .
