Detectives Search Office of Jackson's Doctor for "Manslaughter" Evidence, Attorney Says
Detectives have searched the Houston medical office of one of Michael Jackson's doctors for
"evidence of the offense of manslaughter," according to the doctor's lawyer.
A Los Angeles police spokesman, Gregory Baek, confirmed to TVGuide.com that warrants were issued
for police to search the medical office of Dr. Conrad Murray as "part of the ongoing investigation into
the death of Michael Jackson."
Drug Enforcement Agency agents and Houston police assisted Los Angeles police with the search of
Murray's office, Baek said.
Murray's attorney, Ed Chernoff, said in a statement the warrants were issued to "search for and seize
items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offense of manslaughter."
Chernoff has said Murray should not be a target of criminal charges.
Chernoff's statement said law enforcement seized "a forensic image of a business computer hard drive
and 21 documents. None of the documents taken had previously been requested by law
enforcement or the L.A. coroner's office."
Murray was with Jackson when emergency workers were called to the singer's home.
