A lovely little format folding leaflet issued by the local bus and coach operator, the West Yorkshire Road Car Company Limited, who were based in Harrogate and who here give thirteen suggestions for country walks and rambles using their bus routes 'on the way out' and return.
It's of interest to me as many of the rambles shown are of local lanes I walk or cycle. Sadly there is little opportunity to replicate the bus travel advice and many of the once walkable lanes are now as traffic ridden as main roads. But several are still as delightful and remote now as then. The folder is also of interest in that it is credited; to Royston Cooper (1931 - 1985), a well known British designer and artist.
