Ashley Havinden RDI (1903 - 1973) was one of the best known and most influential figures in British advertising and graphic design for many years - both for his own work, that included many designs, illustrations, posters and lettering, as well as for his wider work within education and the advertising industry. He was, with Sir William Crawford, one of the founders of W S Crawford, an important advertising agency for many decades.
