Get Moving : Younger's Tartan beer : 45rpm record issued by Scottish & Newcastle Breweries, Edinburgh : c1975
Both the recording medium and the beer are history now - this 'floppy' record of the TV advertising jingle for "Get Moving with Younger's Tartan" was issued in the mid-1970s if I recall correctly and the tune I can almost remember. The beer, Tartan Special and/or Tartan Bitter south of the Border, was one of Scottish & Newcastle's keg beers brewed by the William Younger's brewery in Edinburgh. It uses the Father William symbol that itself dates back to the 1920s when it was drawn by Alfred Leete for the old Younger's company.
