"Behind the scenes at the theatre : Hall stage equipment : advert issued by The Hall Manufacturing & Supply Company Ltd., Brixton, London : 1947
From a 1947 'export drive' publication entitled "Made in Britain" comes this fine advert for stage equipment manufactured by the Brixton based company of Hall Manufacturing and Supply Co Ltd. It certainly gives a great idea as to the complexity of a stage with the various sets and lighting rigs.
The company originates from Birmingham, being formed in 1898, making and dealing in ironmongery, ropes and pulleys before becoming more associated with stage work as a speciality. They are still in business.
