Edinburgh Corporation Transport ephemera : Fares, timetable and general notices booklets - 1950s
Some of the many Edinburgh Corporation Transport items I ended up collecting after my long association with the city and its transport system. These are various editions of the regularly issued booklets that detailed service, fares and other information during the 1950s. There were regular changes as these cover the relatively rapid abandonment of the city's tram system that was fianlly replaced by buses on 16 November 1956. The shift, between April and June 1957 to the new departmental 'logo' instead of the coat of arms on publications can be seen.
