Philips' Radio 1936 - 1937 : brochure cover for the Swedish market designed by Esselte, Stockholm

I've always liked the Philips' trademark and often rather coverted one of the vintage radios that carry the logo as part of the design as was utilised in the 1930s. This stylish cover sees the trade-mark adapted to help form the graphics on this 1936 brochure cover designed by the Swedish concern of Esselte for Philips', the Dutch electrical company.

Esselte, formed in 1913 as the Sveriges Litografiska Tryckerier, were a combine of various Swedish printing houses that offered design, printing and distribution services so it is odds on that this was designed by the Esselte Reklame division. The company still 'exists' in that, now owned by ACCO, it manufacturers paper products worldwide.
