The simple cover of the 1923 SMT bus timetable in the second decade of the company’s operation. SMT were, in many ways, amongst the pioneers of motor bus operation and even built their own vehicles. The timetable is printed by Paton in the style of ‘local’ rail timetables and is stamped as being issued at a YMCA enquiry bureau that was in Princes St Gardens. The bureau was I thought a WW1 structure so if any one has any information on it I’d be glad.
