Meeting a new friend
Here's my dad, Carl Anderson, with Bud's dad, DuWayne Bulgrin, and the fireman in the cab window. Bud's dad had a small travel trailer parked near the Mitchell roundhouse as his ore season residence, and returned to his family home in Owen WI when not working for the Missabe during the non shipping season (winter). A little over a year later in 1957, at age 51, tragically he died of a heart attack just a few days before Christmas. No 911, no stents, no bypasses back then.
