CARDINAL George Pell used his last public Mass to ask for prayers for
cardinal electors at last week's conclave to elect a new pope.
He also thanked those people in Australia - and "indeed all around the
world" who have sent messages saying they are "praying for us".
The cardinal was preaching at his titular church of Santa Maria Domenica
Mazzarello on the south eastern outskirts of Rome after midday Mass last
Sunday.
