Grey Squirrel, " Sciurus carolinensis, ( Rodential ),.
The Grey Squirrel has displaced the Red Squirrel from most of England and Wales,
Less arboreal than Red Squirrls, they feed extensively on the ground, and hide caches of acorns use.
The grey fur is variable in colour and the ears are never strongly tufted.
Field signs are similar to those of Red Squirrels,....
Size - Body 23 - 30cm; tail 20 - 24cm,
Young - One or two litters of 3 - 6; May - October,
Diet - Seeds, bark, insects, eggs, and nestlings,
Status - Introduced from North America; very common and still extending its range,
