My contribution to the Women Salon investigates the role of books as carriers of cultural expression, instruments of tolerance, mutual knowledge and freedom of expression; it is is where history is written and memories are kept.
Books, as a tool of persuasion, have contributed to changes in society through the centuries.
The proliferation of women's literature and the expansion of communications through books enlighted women. It opened opportunities and women started questioning their prescribed role cast by society and demanding direct social and political participation.
In my books words become secondary, it is the figure that represents the metamorphosis of women's role and image through history, a figure that constantly and naturally changes.
