Get Swoll by Emily Main

This is a picture of a bicep curl which demonstrates the physics and biomechanics of the human body. The tension force downward is the product of the weight and gravity. James must overcome this tension by applying a greater upward force on the weight. The biceps muscle attaches on the forearm and acts as a lever to pull the arm up. At ninety degrees, James is experiencing the maximum amount of tension because the torque is the greatest because it is at the longest possible moment arm at 90 degrees.
