homemade dried hashbrowns . . .
from the 1980's????
In cleaning and organizing my dad's storage I went through his old backpacking and camping stuff . . . and found a couple of packets of homemade dried hash browns he had made. I decided to try soaking them and frying them up and they were quite edible. Obviously it is possible to make ones own "survival food" if one was so inclined, and keep it for a very long time.
